The two key areas of Dean Hutton’s art work are, firstly, visual culture through photography, video & installation. Secondly, interrogating and intervening and transforming public spaces in performative ways.

Hutton has collaborated with art projects and artists internationally. As a visual artist, she uses her artistic process to reveal narratives of her experiences, observations and interests in a world constantly in transition.

Hutton began exploring performance art in 2008 at the Bag Factory Artist Studios and presented her first major collaborative show - The Funhouse, A Mass Media Freakshow at the studios in late 2008.

She continues to make work particularly for public spaces.
